Tregonissey ‘A’ put on an impressive display taking four points off Bugle ‘A’ to move five points clear at the top of the St Blazey and District Snooker League’s Victory League.

Wins for Richard Pearson, Barrie McIntosh, who knocked in breaks of 53 and 30, Jason Simmons and Ryan Bilson saw them home, with Andrew Best beating Jason Cocks for Bugle’s point.

Mevagissey ‘B’ have dropped into the bottom two after losing out to their ‘A’ team by four games to one. Dave Kendall took out Leighton Varcoe in the opener but that was as good as it got for them as Matt Mills, Phil Staley, Paul Williams and James Popplewell took the ‘A’ team points. Williams and Popplewell both knocking in breaks of 37.

In the next room at Meva, the ‘D’ team are thriving and took an excellent four points against Pelynt. Mark Ashton, Rich Lakeman, James Tomlinson and Rob Blamey were their marksmen with Scott Mills getting the bad draw and lost out to the classy Phil Ormond.

St Blazey picked up a great 3-2 win at St Neot, with wins for Liam Reynolds, Stewart Dewings and Chris Morford. The home side replied through Steve Courts and Darren Lock, who had a 37 break.

Bugle ‘B’ moved up a place after beating Tregonissey ‘B’, Wins for Colin and Dave Rundle along with Keith Moore saw them through with Justin Hooley and Andrew Gooch replying.

Mevagissey ‘C’ helped themselves to four points at St Stephen and now lead the Rees League by two points. A great win by Adrian Evans over Chris Brown got them going with Ben Prynn, Dave Tregale and Matt Chesterfield also recording wins. Anthony Garside defeated Joe Chesterfield for the home point.

Gavin Dyche’s black ball win over Roger Smithson got Bethel ‘D’ off to a good start against their ‘C’ team. Howard Brett levelled things, helped a lot by four points by Dave Morshead. Dayle Dyche and Jason Pascoe then put the ‘D’ team 3-1 up with Ben Stunnell seeing off Ross McMenemy for their second point.

Bethel ‘B’ moved up to third after taking four points at Lostwithiel through Richie Bolt, Clive Stuthridge, Guy Buckle and Martin Isted. John Wilson took the home point through a walkover.

John Hancock meanwhile beat debutant Mark Wherry to put Lerryn ahead at home to Gorran. Rob Bunney and Lee McKinstry put the away side ahead with Terry Middleton squaring things up leaving Steve Williams to beat Charles McMiram for the away side.
