It’s still neck and neck at the top of the Rees League as both Bethel ‘C’ and Mevagissey ‘C’ gained hard-earned 3-2 wins.

Bethel won two respot blacks and also won a frame on the black to sneak past an unlucky Lerryn side. Howard Brett and Courtney Crockford along with Ben Stunnell got their wins with Matt Woodward and Les Shakespeare replying.

The Meva boys were thankful for Adrian Evans’ final frame respot black win over Guy Buckle to keep them level at the top.

Clive Stuthridge and Jim Tamblyn got the home points with Ben Pryn and Matt Chesterfield levelling up to set up the exciting final frame.

Bugle ‘C’ got a very good win at St Stephen and with games in hand will surely climb the table. Chris Brown and Dan Parmenter’s black-ball victory over Gary Moore was as good as it got for the home side with Damian Knight, Mo Roscorla and Roy Bayliss securing the win.

Gorran took four points at Tregonissey ‘C’ with Steve Williams, Andy Redall, Rob Bunney and Lee McKinstry their winners with Graham Rosevear beating Geoff Hayhurst in the opener.

Tregonissey ‘A’ picked up a good 3-2 win at Bethel ‘A’ and lead the table by seven points but Richard Pearson and Barrie McIntosh put them 2-0 up but Matt Green and Garry Stephens’ best performance of the season levelled things up with Ryan Bilson’s excellent tactical frame win over Leon Collard sealing the win.

Bugle ‘A’ won 4-1 at Mevagissey ‘D’ to close the gap on the leaders by a point. Andrew Best, Jake Moore, Ian Ball and Gary Spencer got their points with Mark Ashton beating Paul Sturtridge for the home point.

Mike Hooley’s victory over Phil Staley got Tregonissey ‘C’ ahead at home to Mevagissey ‘A’.

James Popplewell’s 31 and Matt Mills’s 32 turned things aroung only for Phil Hooley to level things up beating Leighton Varcoe, with Paul Williams getting the better of Andrew Gooch in the decider for the away win.

Mevagissey ‘B’ got three precious points at home to St Blazey to jump above their ‘D’ team in the table. Matt Chesterfield, Matt Rowe and Ben Rothwell got the win with Stewart Dewings and Chris Morford on target for the visitors.
