Ryan Bilson’s 37, Jason Cocks’ 31 and Barrie McIntosh, also with a 31, along with Martin Knight got their points with Mark Sturtridge beating Richard Pearson for the away point.

Bugle ‘A’ kept well clear in second as they took all five frames against Mevagissey ‘B’, who are in deep trouble at the base of the table. Four of the frames were well contested but Ian Ball, Andrew Best, Ian Powell, Gary Spencer and Paul Sturtridge all secured wins.

Bethel ‘A’ went three up at St Neot through Andy Peers, Matt Green and Garry Stephens, who knocked in a fine 31, with Darren Lock and Steve Courts taking the final two frames for the home side.

St Blazey picked up a 4-1 win at home to Mevagissey ‘D’ thanks to wins for Liam Reynolds, Chris Morford, Mickey Meares and Dean Willis. Matt Ashton took out Stewart Dewings for the away point.

Justin Hooley and Stuart Giles got two away points for Tregonissey ‘B’ at Pelynt, who sealed the win through Len Flower, Richard Broad and Phil Ormond.

Bethel ‘C’ closed the gap on leaders Mevagissey ‘C’ as they got four points at home to St Stephen. Leigh Rosevear and Paul Thomas put them two up only for Dan Parmenter to beat Courtney Crockford to pull one back but the home team responded with Howard Brett and captain Roger Smithson winning their games.

Leaders Mevagissey ‘C’ dropped two points at home to Tregonissey ‘C’. ‘The Predator’ Tregale, Ben Prynn and Matt Chesterfield got their points with Carol Stephens beating Adrian Evans and Alan Meades defeating Joe Chesterfield for the away team.

Bethel ‘D’ keep plugging away hoping for any slip-ups by the top two. This time they took four points at home to Lostwithiel. Steve Benallack, Jason Pascoe, Andy Spearman (walkover) and Ross McMenemy did the damage with Terry Nicholls pipping Dave Morshead for Lostwithiel’s single point.

Graham Hoskin beat Mo Roscorla to give Lerryn the lead at Bugle ‘C’ and despite some close games Bugle took the last four through Nigel Couchman, Kevin Spencer, Damian Knight and Roy Bayliss.

Matt Fox and Steve Williams got two points for Gorran at home to Bethel ‘B’ with Rob Bunney just missing out to give Clive Stuthridge what would have been his second defeat of the season, but he survived and with wins also for Scott Patterson and Guy Buckle the away side took the spoils.
